Events, corporate work, personal sessions. Different rooms, different pressure, same job: come back with frames that still hold up a year later.
Three kinds of day
An event is unrepeatable — you get one pass and the room will not wait for you. Corporate work is the opposite: controlled, repeatable, and judged on consistency across a whole team. A personal session is neither; it is a conversation that happens to produce photographs.
We shoot all three, but we do not shoot them the same way.
Events
Coverage means the arc, not just the highlights: the room filling, the moment everybody came for, and the part afterwards that nobody plans. We work light and stay out of the way — the best event photographs are the ones where nobody was performing for the camera.
Corporate
Portraits that match each other matter more than any single portrait being spectacular. Same light, same distance, same treatment, so a leadership page or a team wall reads as one set rather than a collection of favours.
We shoot tethered where it helps, so nobody sits through a session wondering how it is going.
Personal sessions
Most people arrive certain they are bad at being photographed. They are not — they have just never been given anything to do. We spend the first stretch talking rather than shooting, and the frames that survive the edit are almost always from after that point.
